Anatomy for anesthesia residents: a critical need of the hour

Abstract

Abstract: Anesthesia is a highly specialized field that requires a deep understanding of anatomy to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes. Although the anatomy is studied in the 1st year of MBBS, it is important for aaesthesia residents to refresh the knowledge before they practice on the patients or in the skill lab. For anesthesia residents, anatomical knowledge is not just theoretical but directly influences clinical practice, from administering regional blocks to managing airway complications. With the increasing complexity of surgical procedures and anesthesia techniques, residents must have a thorough grasp of the anatomical structures involved in various interventions.
